Synack is a continuous penetration testing platform for federal agencies that combines agentic AI with vetted security researchers. The platform is designed to support FedRAMP continuous monitoring requirements by providing visibility into vulnerabilities, remediation progress, and testing activity. The platform maintains a searchable asset inventory covering applications, FQDNs, and IP addresses. Each asset record includes criticality ratings, tags, testing history, and vulnerability status. Security teams can prioritize high-risk assets and launch tests directly from the inventory, with scope and asset details automatically carried into the assessment workflow. Testing can be conducted using agentic AI for speed and repeatable coverage, or through vetted Synack Red Team (SRT) researchers for adversarial expertise. Both modes operate within the same platform and vulnerability workflow. When setting up an assessment, selected assets and the assessment codename are pre-populated, eliminating the need to rebuild scope or transfer information manually. A program-level dashboard displays active, scheduled, paused, and completed assessments in one view, removing the need for separate spreadsheets or email-based status tracking. Individual assessment views show testing activity, vulnerability status, remediation progress, and researcher missions, giving security teams and ISSOs a current picture throughout the testing window. An AI agent named Sara tests suspected vulnerabilities for exploitability at machine speed. Results are verified through Synack Vulnerability Operations. SRT researchers handle findings that require human judgment. Each verified finding includes technical evidence, affected assets, impact, severity, and remediation context to support vulnerability tracking, POA&M processes, and agency security documentation. Sara continuously processes high volumes of suspected vulnerabilities and routes results through the appropriate review path, reducing noise and directing human expertise to findings requiring deeper investigation.
