Continue all the fun at DEFCON 23 and look for the Synack team! Come watch these talks and meet some of our staff:

‘DLL Hijacking’ on OS X? #@%& Yeah!
Presented by Patrick Wardle (Director of Research)
August 8 (Saturday), 11:00AM at Track 3
Learn how attackers need only to plant specially-crafted dynamic libraries to have their malicious code automatically loaded into vulnerable application. Come watch as applications fall, Gatekeeper crumbles (allowing downloaded unsigned code to execute), and ‘hijacker malware’ arises – capable of bypassing all top security and anti-virus products! Learn more.

Spread Spectrum Satcom Hacking: Attacking The GlobalStar Simplex Data Service
Presented by Colby Moore (Security Research Engineer)
August 8 (Saturday), 1:00PM at Track 1
Watch Colby deconstruct the transmitters used in consumer focused SPOT asset-tracking (and commercial) solutions and reveal design and implementation flaws that result in the ability to intercept, spoof, falsify, and intelligently jam communications. Learn more.

Stick That In Your (root)Pipe & Smoke It
Presented by Patrick Wardle (Director of Research)
August 9 (Sunday), 12:00PM at Track 3
Come attend (but maybe leave your MacBooks at home), as we dive into the technical details XPC and the rootpipe vulnerability, explore how malware exploited this flaw, and then fully detail the process of completely bypassing Apple’s patch! Learn more.
